A review of 19^th century Tejano history with a focus on the major leaders of the Tejano community from the early 1820s to the turn of the century. Examples of their socoal and cultural contributions to Texas history and the United States, and the role of Tejano leaders in the Texas Revolution and the 20^th century Mexican-American community.
